ABCRC

  1. Promotion Period starts at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Time (“MT”) on April 25, 2011 and continues until 11:59 a.m. MT on September 2, 2011, the Promotion Closing Date. Only one (1) bin request per person will be accepted; and only one (1) bin per person may be placed.
  2. Eligibility:

    In order to be eligible to place a bin, you must be a permanent Alberta resident and must also be 14 years of age or older. The Promotion Sponsor is the Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation (“ABCRC”). This promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.

    In order for a bin placement request to be considered valid, the bin must be placed within the Province of Alberta.

    How to place a bin:
    1. To participate, visit dontbeatosser.com, click on the “PLACE A BIN” button, place the blue bin icon at your chosen location on the Google map, and complete the Facebook sign-in field and all subsequent sign-in fields in full.
    2. Each participant must provide their first and last name, email, year of birth, and name of their Alberta town or city.
    3. Only one (1) bin request can be made per person.
  3. Not all bin placement requests are guaranteed, and they will be automatically submitted for evaluation and authorization by the Promotion Sponsor within 3 business days.
    1. No bin will be placed within 150 metres of another bin, unless otherwise authorized by the Promotion Sponsor.
    2. If a bin placement request has been authorized by the Promotion Sponsor, the participant must allow a minimum of thirty (30) business days for delivery and installation of the bin once approval has been confirmed.
  4. Bins authorized for placement will differ in size, shape and style, and will be selected by the Promotion Sponsor at the time of evaluation. Promotion Sponsor will select the appropriate bin based on the specific location.
  5. The Promotion Sponsor will assign a Community Champions Partner and/or depot to manage a designated bin based on individual placement.
    1. The Community Champions Partner and/or depot assigned to manage the bin will regularly collect the empty beverage containers and return them to an Alberta bottle depot.
    2. The Promotion Sponsor is not responsible for any damaged or stolen bins.
  6. By requesting a bin on dontbeatosser.com, participants consent to the use of their name, place of residence, voice, statements, and photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any media or format without further compensation or notice.
  7. By placing a bin, participants consent to the use of their Facebook login information collected on dontbeatosser.com, and/or any photograph that may be taken in publicity carried out by the Promotion Sponsor and/or their advertising agencies, without further notice or compensation.
  8. No communications will be entered into except with authorized bin placement participants. Bin placement authorizations will depend on the number of requests and bins available, as well as detailed evaluation of locations by the Promotion Sponsor. All requests that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by the Promotion Sponsor. The Promotion Sponsor takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed bins, or for typographical or other production errors. Promotion Sponsor is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this promotion. All participant information will become the property of the Promotion Sponsor and will not be returned.
  9. By engaging in this promotion, participants release and hold harmless the Promotion Sponsor, their advertising and promotional agencies, and their affiliates and respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with this promotion.
  10. Promotion Sponsor is collecting personal data about participants solely for the purpose of administering this contest.
  11. This promotion will be run in accordance with these terms and conditions, subject to amendment by Promotion Sponsor. Participants must comply with these terms and conditions, and will be deemed to have received and understood the terms and conditions by participating in the promotion. The terms of this promotion, as set out in this document, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
    1. Promotion Sponsor assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet or the website during the Promotion Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to a participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from downloading any material in the contest. Promotion Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the email portion of this promotion should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the promotion. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Promotion Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
    2. If the identity of a participant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of participation will be deemed to be the participant. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected participant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. All bin requests must be submitted from a valid email account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid request in this promotion will be the promotion server machine(s).
